What we'll do

This 6-week, Saturday afternoon pottery course is perfect for beginner students looking to build their skills on the wheel! Our beginner wheel throwing classes will guide you through all the fundamentals of working with clay on the wheel. You’ll learn essential techniques like clay preparation and wedging, centering clay on the wheel, pulling walls, creating basic shapes like cylinders and bowls, attaching handles, and an introduction to glazing your finished pieces. What to Know: ✅ No experience needed — perfect for beginners ✅ Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy (apron or towel optional) ✅ Each weekly session includes a live demonstration, hands-on instruction, and individual guidance. ✅ Course includes all supplies ✅ Ages 14 and up As an added bonus, students enrolled in this pottery course have access to our Fort Worth ceramics studio anytime it’s open and no other classes are in session—giving you the flexibility to practice and create at your own pace!
